"Hi Nicolle,
I thought I would just let you know that Melody had a boy on 17th Nov (Jake - &
7lb 1oz) she started with pre-labour on the tuesday (15th) but by the next day
things had 'slowed up' and she was advised to sit on her large excercise ball
and 'rolled around' to help bring the baby down more - I arrived later that day
(16th) and she was pretty fed up by now - anyway she did manage to get a good
nights sleep - so the next day (17th) I asked her where the 'birth oil' was and
if she'd used it yet - no she had'nt so it was now about 10.00am and she was off
for a bath - so I suggested if she liked that I would massage this oil on her
afterwards - which by the time she'd had the bath etc it was about 11.30am - so
I massaged it into her tum and lower back for quite a while - I went to get
ready as we were going to go for a walk (to hopefully speed things up) - came
back into the room now about 1.00ish and things had really sped up! she was
now getting stronger contractions - I decided to
take Kyle (my grandson) for a walk on our own to give Melody a break - hadn't
been out more than an hour and she phoned to say midwife was there and she had
to get going to the hospital!!! So I rushed back with Kyle to say a quick
'cheerio' now about 4.00ish as they went off to the hospital - Steve
telephoned later to say I had another grandson born at 18.18pm - apparently the
actual delivery only took 8 mins! I think it all eventually happened so fast
they didn't get chance to use the oil again! - so Nicolle what do you think
about that - either this birth oil is pretty potent stuff or Jake was just
ready to come into the world - who knows, but either way the oil is gorgeous
with a wonderful aroma and both Melody and I enjoyed the experience of being
close as mother and daughter at such a special time. "
