DEEP RELAXATION SEQUENCE

1) Lie on the floor or bed, as before ensuring you are comfortable.

2) Take 3 slow deep breaths deep into your tummy, exhaling with a sigh.

3) Bring your attention to your feet a)-feel where they are hot
b)-feel where they are cold
c)-feel how your shoes/socks feel against your skin
d)-bring your attention to any aches or pains you might feel
e)-simply let your attention rest here awhile

4) Now bring your attention to your shins & calves, & repeat the sequence a) to e) in number 3)
5) Now bring your attention to your thighs etc…….

6) And your buttocks & groin………

7) Stomach………..

8) Chest

9) Lower back

10) Upper back

11) Hands

12) Arms

13) Shoulders & neck

14) Face & head

15) Now imagine a white light entering the top of your head, slowly filling up each part of your body in reverse, filling you up with white light from top to toe. Imagine the light cleansing away all your troubles. Take time to enjoy this feeling.

16) Now imagine you are wiggling your toes deep into the earth. Take 3 long slow deep breaths.

17) Slowly open your eyes, roll over onto your side before getting up.

YOU CAN ALTER THIS EXERCISE TO SUIT YOU ADDING VISUALISATION THAT SUITS YOU
